Episode 29: A Holistic Approach to Helping Families Learn, Grow and Thrive

Episode Summary

Women often feel the pressure to “do it all”- crush motherhood, thrive professionally and live their best life. But when those unrealistic expectations often fall short, the quality of life including health and wellbeing, and relationships are negatively impacted. On this episode of the Baby Steps Nutrition Podcast, Argavan speaks with Dr. Jennifer Quartano, founder of All Together Wellness, which provides wellness, therapy, and functional medicine programs for children and families. She is based in Jacksonville, Florida but provides virtual visits to clients all over. Dr. Quartano obtained Board Certification in Neurologic Physical Therapy from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2010 and in Pediatric Physical Therapy from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2012. She recertified in both in 2020. She graduated from the Mayo School of Health Sciences with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Argavan and Dr. Quartano discuss typical milestones for children’s physical development and what red flags to look for that require a professional evaluation, how physical disabilities and challenges impact a child’s overall development and the importance of prioritizing maternal physical and mental health, especially after having given birth. Do not miss this informative and compassionate interview!
