There are so many reasons why a child may be having challenging or difficult emotions or behaviors. After all, we as caregivers have seen it often with our children (sometimes too often!). However, some children may have extremely difficult and challenging behaviors that require evaluation and support from a trusted professional. On this episode of Baby Steps Nutrition Podcast, Argavan speaks with Tobi Baker, a registered social worker and therapist for children and families. She opened her private practice in 2018 in Toronto, Canada and works with children of all ages, with a specialty in mental health. She earned her Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto and her Bachelor of Arts with an Honors Psychology degree at the University of Ottawa in Canada. She has worked for the Toronto District School Board, as well as centers that include child and family services, community mental health and pediatric rehabilitation In this episode, Argavan and Tobi talk about challenging behaviors that children can exhibit, what may be exacerbating those challenges and discussing strategies and insights to reduce stress and frustration. As always, we emphasize a respectful approach to parenting.
